Entebbe UPPC FC battled to a hard-earned 1\u20131 draw away to Lugazi FC in an entertaining Uganda Premier League encounter, with goalkeeper Omedwa Rodgers producing a standout performance to secure a valuable point on the road.<\/p>

There was a welcome return for Amayo in central defence, while Odongo missed out through suspension. Eric Ssenjobe and Kawawa Samuel remained sidelined with injury, paving the way for Kiryowa to start at right back.<\/p>

Starting XI:<\/strong> Omedwa, Kiryowa, Mubiru, Mujuzi, Amayo, Bugembe, Tibiita, Nasur, Tusubira, Munguchi, Kigozi.<\/p>

The match burst into life from the opening whistle, with both sides showing attacking intent in a fast-paced start. UPPC capitalized early, taking the lead in the 8th minute through Tusubira Abraham. A well-delivered aerial cross from Laban Tibiita found Tusubira in space, and the forward made no mistake, powering home a precise header to give us the advantage.<\/p>

However, the lead lasted only two minutes. Lugazi responded immediately after regaining possession in a dangerous area, allowing Wabwire to break through and slot past Omedwa in the 10th minute to level the score.<\/p>

The remainder of the first half and much of the second saw the hosts create several clear-cut chances, including two one-on-one situations. Omedwa Rodgers rose to the occasion with a series of crucial saves, demonstrating composure and sharp reflexes to deny Lugazi and preserve parity for The Printers.<\/p>
