Entebbe UPPC FC suffered a 2\u20130 defeat to SC Villa<\/strong> at the Fisheries Ground on Saturday afternoon, with defensive lapses proving costly against a well-organized Villa side. Played under clear sunny skies in Bugonga, the visitors capitalized on key moments in the first half to claim all three points despite a spirited effort from the hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kakande chased down an overhit cross on the left flank and kept the ball alive before delivering another searching ball into the box. Ssebuufu<\/strong> rose above Mujuzi in an aerial duel and guided a header into the far corner to give the visitors the lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Joggos doubled their advantage later in the half following a slick passing move involving four players. The move ended with Najib<\/strong> firing a powerful shot into the near post to make it 2\u20130<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPPC gradually grew into the game but Villa remained dangerous on the counterattack. One such break nearly resulted in a third goal when the visitors struck the woodwork before halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midway through the first half, coach Abdallah introduced Nsubuga<\/strong> in place of Sadick<\/strong> to inject more energy into the midfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPPC\u2019s best opportunity of the half fell to Kigozi<\/strong>, whose effort forced Villa goalkeeper Lukwago<\/strong> into an excellent stretching save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Half<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The hosts returned with renewed intent after the break and enjoyed greater control of possession. However, Villa remained disciplined defensively and continued to threaten on transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, Kigozi came closest for UPPC. Spotting Lukwago slightly off his line, the forward attempted an ambitious long-range effort that narrowly missed the target, passing just inches over the bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite sustained pressure in spells, UPPC could not find a way past the visitors\u2019 resilient defense as Villa held on to secure the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
