The Printers battled to a hard-fought goalless draw against Express FC on a rain-soaked evening at Hamz Stadium as the second round of the 2025\/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League got underway.<\/p>

Persistent rainfall, which began barely ten minutes into the contest and lasted almost the entire match, turned the encounter into a physical and tactical battle where concentration and defensive discipline proved decisive.<\/p>

Starting XI<\/h2>

Kokas returned to the starting line-up as Coach Abdallah named the following eleven:<\/p>

Omedwa, Odongo, Mujuzi, Amayo, Mubiru, Ssenyonjo, Bugembe, Kokas, Kyeyune, Munguchi, Kigozi.<\/strong><\/p>

Fast Start from the Hosts<\/h2>

Express FC began brightly, enjoying extended spells of possession in the opening exchanges and forcing The Printers to remain compact and disciplined without the ball. The Red Eagles controlled early tempo, circulating possession confidently despite the intensifying rain.<\/p>

We gradually settled into the contest as the first half progressed, improving ball retention and gaining territorial confidence.<\/p>

Chances were limited for both sides in a cagey first half. The clearest opportunity of the opening period fell to Kokas. Mubiru delivered a superb cross into the area, and Kokas rose well to meet it, only to see his header drift inches wide of the far post \u2014 a moment that briefly silenced the home support.<\/p>

The teams went into the break level, with neither goalkeeper seriously tested.<\/p>

Tactical Shift After the Restart<\/h2>

Seeking greater attacking thrust, Coach Abdallah introduced Poloto and Bunjo at halftime for Kokas and Ssenyonjo respectively. The change injected urgency and verticality into The Printers’ play.<\/p>

Control gradually shifted in favour of The Printers. The visitors pinned Express deeper into their own half for large spells, applying sustained pressure and winning second balls in advanced areas.<\/p>

The biggest chance of the second half fell to Bunjo. After a dangerous move inside the box, his close-range effort looked destined for the net before a defender produced a crucial goal-line clearance to preserve parity.<\/p>

Fazil Tumwine was later introduced in place of Kyeyune as Entebbe UPPC FC pushed for a late breakthrough, but the decisive touch proved elusive on a surface that increasingly hampered fluid play.<\/p>
