Another away day to remember. We delivered a disciplined and clinical performance in Njeru to defeat BUL FC 2\u20130 \u2014 a result that moves us to 13 points from eight games<\/strong>, just four points off the summit<\/strong>. Both teams entered the fixture on 10 points after losses on Match Day 7, but it was The Printers who showed character, composure, and quality to take all three points.<\/p>

Starting XI & Team News<\/strong><\/h2>

Head Coach Abdallah made three changes<\/strong> from the team that took on Police FC:<\/p>

  • Amayo<\/strong> returned from injury, replacing Kiryowa<\/strong> at centre-back.<\/li>\n\n
  • Marvin Mukiibi<\/strong> came in for Isa Mubiru<\/strong> at left-back.<\/li>\n\n
  • Kyeyune<\/strong> reclaimed a starting role, taking the place of Kokas in the right wing<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>

    Starting XI:<\/strong> Omedwa, Odongo, Mukiibi, Amayo, Mujuzi \u00a9, Bugembe, Ssenyonjo, Munguchi, Kawawa, Kyeyune, Kigozi.<\/p>

    Played under a clear but sweltering hot afternoon, BUL FC began with direct intent \u2014 targeting early balls into the box in search of quick goals. Our defensive unit stayed composed, with Omedwa<\/strong> commanding his area superbly.<\/p>

    However, Amayo suffered a head injury<\/strong> after an aerial challenge and required medical attention. He was unable to continue, and Kiryowa<\/strong> was introduced in the 5th minute.<\/p>

    Despite the early setback, we gradually settled into the game. Kigozi<\/strong> had two first half-chances, while Omedwa<\/strong> produced two crucial saves to deny BUL FC. The closest we came to scoring in the first half fell to Ssenyonjo<\/strong>, whose effort was blocked off the line.<\/p>

    The first interval ended goalless \u2014 balanced, but with signs of growing belief from The Printers.<\/p>

    Second Half<\/h2>

    We started the second period sharply and immediately increased the tempo. In the 49th minute<\/strong>, BUL lost possession near the centre arc. Ssenyonjo recovered the ball and released a precise through pass to Kigozi<\/strong>, who took a few clean touches before finishing brilliantly into the bottom right corner to give us the lead.<\/p>

    Seven minutes later, history repeated itself. BUL again lost possession in our half \u2014 this time Mukiibi pounced and lofted an aerial pass to Kigozi<\/strong>, who controlled it, drove into the penalty area, beat his marker, and fired into the near post for his second goal of the match.<\/p>

    BUL pushed forward in the latter stages, but our defence held strong. Mujuzi<\/strong>, Odongo<\/strong>, Mukiibi<\/strong>, and Kiryowa<\/strong> were flawless in shape and timing, while Omedwa<\/strong> remained reliable whenever called upon. We also threatened on the break through Kawawa<\/strong>, Munguchi<\/strong>, Kigozi<\/strong>, and Poloto<\/strong>, who came on to good effect.<\/p>

    The final whistle confirmed a well-earned win \u2014 one built on structure, resilience, and sharp finishing.<\/p>

    A mature away display and another defensive masterclass on the road. The victory lifts us to 13 points from 8 games<\/strong>, placing us firmly in the upper half of the table \u2014 just four points shy of the top<\/strong> in our debut Premier League campaign.<\/p>
