Uganda Premier League – Season Opener, 26th September 2025
Fisheries Ground, Bugonga – Entebbe

UPPC FC marked their Uganda Premier League (UPL) debut with a narrow 1–0 loss to Buhimba Saints in Entebbe.

The visitors took the lead in the 13th minute when Wesley capitalised on a defensive lapse to score the game’s only goal. UPPC FC responded strongly, asserting control and creating sustained pressure, but were unable to breach the Saints’ resolute defensive structure.

Head Coach, Abdallah Mubiru introduced several tactical changes, with Kawawa replacing Kyeyune in the first half to tighten midfield control. After the break, Bunjo and Isat were brought on to add attacking impetus. Chances fell to Poloto, Bunjo, and Kigozi, but none were converted. Tumwine was introduced late in a final push, though the equaliser remained elusive.

Despite the defeat, the Printers demonstrated resilience, dominance in possession, and attacking intent in their first-ever Uganda Premier League fixture.
