Entebbe UPPC FC delivered an impressive performance to secure a commanding 3–0 victory over Police FC in their Matchday Five encounter of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at HAMZ Stadium, Kampala.

The Printers combined attacking intent with disciplined game management to claim all three points and strengthen their position in the league standings.

Team News

New signing Calvin Peter Emayu earned his first start for The Printers. Munguchi returned to the starting lineup as the centre-forward, replacing Kigozi, while Mugulusi started in midfield ahead of Ssengendo, who had recently recovered from illness.

Starting XI: Otim (GK), Odongo, Ochungo, Kiryowa, Barni, Kayondo, Mugulusi, Kokolo, Munguchi, Orit and Emayu.

Substitutes: Moro, Kazibwe, Kigozi, Poloto, Bugembe, Isabirye, Yannick and Ssengendo.

The Match

The Printers made a bright start, taking the lead just three minutes into the contest through Munguchi. Odongo delivered a pinpoint aerial ball that found the forward, who rose well to head home and give UPPC an early advantage.

UPPC continued to threaten and came close to doubling their lead when Kokolo released Orit with an excellent through ball. However, Orit was unable to beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation.

Munguchi remained a constant threat in attack, while The Printers maintained their pressure on the Police FC defence. Police FC, meanwhile, struggled to make a significant impact going forward.

The pressure eventually paid off again in the 28th minute. Ochungo delivered an excellent cross, and Munguchi rose to head home his second goal of the evening, putting The Printers firmly in control.

The visitors’ task became more difficult shortly before half-time when Matovu Richard, wearing shirt number three, received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving Police FC to continue with ten men.

UPPC maintained control after the restart, managing the game effectively while continuing to search for further goals.

Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru introduced Moro Swadick, Bugembe, Ssengendo, Poloto and Kigozi as the match progressed, bringing fresh energy into the side.
