Entebbe UPPC FC maintained their perfect start to the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over UPDF FC at HAMZ Stadium.
The result means The Printers have now won their opening two league matches, following their historic 1–0 victory over defending champions Vipers SC on Matchday One

Coach Abdallah named an unchanged starting XI from the side that defeated Vipers, retaining the same combination that delivered victory at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The Game
UPDF started brightly, applying an intense high press and forcing UPPC goalkeeper Otim into action several times during the opening 15 minutes.
The visitors eventually broke the deadlock in the 27th minute from a corner. Taremwa’s clever movement at the far post allowed him to meet the delivery unchallenged and head into the opposite corner. The Printers responded strongly and found their equaliser four minutes before half-time.
In the 41st minute, Thomas Ochungo rose highest to meet a well-delivered free-kick from Ibrahim Mugulusi, directing his header beyond the UPDF goalkeeper to make it 1–1.
The second half began evenly, with both teams competing for control.
Coach Abdallah made his first major attacking change in the 63rd minute, introducing striker Ambrose Kigozi. The change quickly paid dividends.
Seven minutes later, Kigozi was brought down inside the area, earning UPPC a penalty. The striker took responsibility from the spot and calmly sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to put The Printers ahead in the 70th minute.
The visitors’ task became even more difficult four minutes later when defender Kalule was shown a red card for a challenge on Kigozi, who had broken through on goal.
Despite being reduced to ten men, UPDF continued to push forward, while UPPC remained disciplined as both sides continued to create attacking moments.
The Printers ultimately held on to secure another valuable three points.
The Implications
The victory gives UPPC FC a perfect record after two matches, with six points from six.
After defeating the defending champions Vipers on Matchday One, The Printers have followed it up with another important victory to establish early momentum in the 2026/27 campaign.

The Printers return to action on Matchday Three when they host Lugazi FC.
