Entebbe UPPC FC produced a composed and disciplined performance to defeat UPDF FC 2–0 at the Fisheries Ground and move into sixth place on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.

Facing a determined UPDF side battling for survival, the Printers maintained their impressive home form and delivered a timely result as the league campaign enters its decisive closing phase.

Team News

The hosts were without suspended duo Mujuzi Mustafa and Laban Tibiita after both accumulated three yellow cards. Kawawa and Bogere also remained unavailable through injury.

Kokas and Bunjo were handed starting opportunities as the technical team reshuffled the squad.

Match Summary

Entebbe UPPC FC began the contest on the front foot, dominating possession and pressing aggressively high up the pitch. The bright start paid dividends almost immediately.

Kiryowa initiated the move with a clever pass into Bugembe, who drove confidently past two defenders before unleashing a powerful strike from the edge of the box to hand the Printers an early lead.

UPDF FC gradually settled into the game and created a more balanced contest for long spells. The visitors threatened an equaliser midway through the second half when a dangerous cross found its target inside the area, but the resulting header brushed off the crossbar and out for a goal kick.

Nasur, Kyeyune and Munguchi were introduced as Entebbe UPPC FC looked to regain control and manage the game in the closing stages.

The decisive second goal arrived late in the encounter after Kigozi was fouled just outside the penalty area following a dangerous break forward. Kyeyune stepped up confidently and curled the free kick into the bottom left corner to seal all three points for the hosts.

The victory moves Entebbe UPPC FC to 46 points and into sixth place on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with three matches left to play.
