Entebbe UPPC FC returned to winning ways in commanding fashion with a deserved 2–0 victory over Calvary FC at the Fisheries Ground in Entebbe. Goals from Isa Bugembe and Kigozi Ambrose sealed all three points for The Printers as they bounced back strongly from consecutive defeats to KCCA FC and Vipers SC within six days.

The result provided timely relief and revived momentum for Entebbe UPPC FC as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League enters its decisive final stretch. With four matches remaining, the victory strengthens the club’s push for a respectable finish in the league standings.

The Printers welcomed back Eric Ssenjobe and Isa Bugembe into the starting XI following injury recovery and suspension respectively. Goalkeeper Otim retained his place between the posts after featuring against Vipers SC, while Tusubira missed out after suffering a simple arm fracture during the same fixture.

The game began at a lively tempo with Calvary FC posing early questions, but Entebbe UPPC FC quickly settled and created several dangerous opportunities within the opening 20 minutes. In an entertaining first half, both teams struck the woodwork twice, while Kigozi was denied in a one-on-one situation by the visiting goalkeeper.



The breakthrough eventually arrived from a set-piece. Amayo’s powerful header from a corner kick crashed against the far post and bounced back into play, where Isa Bugembe reacted quickest to slot home and hand The Printers a deserved lead.



Entebbe UPPC FC continued to press forward after the opener and were rewarded again two minutes to haltime through the second half. Poloto was brought down inside the penalty area after a driving run, leaving the referee with no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Kigozi Ambrose stepped up confidently and emphatically converted the penalty to register his 11th league goal of the season.
The Printers managed the remainder of the contest professionally, limiting the visitors’ opportunities and comfortably seeing out an important home victory.



Implications
The victory moves Entebbe UPPC FC to 43 points and into 7th place on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with four matches left to play.
